I think that the Evo 6 (like the 7 and 8) intercooler will handle up to 400bhp with no problems. It really is a good piece of kit and is the best stock cooler around. I’m not to sure of what pressure it will take but as the Group N people over here run them I would say up to about 2bar.

Chris.

Ps. it is much better than the earlier intercoolers.

Yes they are good for up to 400ps, but I wouldn't be running 2bars. I'm assuming Vespa, you have an E3 then I wouldn't run more then more then 1.3bars with fueling on the factory turbo, your crank may handle 400ps but I doubt your pistons would. It's a different story on say a CP Evo, 1.7bars on the factory turbo will easily reach close to 400ps.

I am actualy from Australia and i have a lancer coupe which i think you guys call a mirage. It is a cc shape and i have gone and put a GSR 4g93T in it, the max boost my rods will handel is about 14psi. I will be staying at about 11 so im not too worryed but as i said i would like the option to be there. i was choosing between a evo6 cooler and a Hybrid cooler (not sure if they are big in us but here they are quiet popular) they are massive intercoolers that apparently have poor RandD but still work quiet good. the reason i chose the evo6 is bacuse it will be easyer to fit in my bar. :/

How much you picking up the E6 i/c for? Hyperflow in Wollongong manufacturer replacement E7 size I/C, you could check their prices too.

go for the evo 7 intercooler.
it has better cooling efficiency than the 6...it's bigger!

How much bigger is it, dimensions? I believe not by much and they are rated about the same, and finding an E7 cooler would be more expensive.

Some writers and articles have claimed the E6/TME I/C to be slightly smaller then the E4/5 which is the largest, but I've not found there to be any substantial difference...after 400ps they all best run larger I/C to make the tune worthwhile.
