Hey guys, I'm planning on doing cams in the near future and I was wondering How much Horsepower is the stock intercooler good for? Thanks in advance for the replys.

 

It's not based off horsepower.

 

yeah, it's based on the size of turbo.

i think you can probably get some gains if you even upgrade to a green

a ETS 3 inch is a good starting point.

I've read of people comfortably making 400whp on the stock IC, for drag racing or highway pulls, if the runs were any longer you'd probably need a bigger IC that wouldn't heatsoak.

 

It really doesnt hurt to upgrade to a bigger IC.

Two of my buddies with IX's dynoed 355+whp with just and IC, intake, and exhaust tuned by Ivey.

 

It's based off many factors. He just asked what horsepower level it was good to. There is no answer to that, and he should probably do a little research to learn more, yah?
