The only thing I want is the leather door panels so I can replace the mouse skin ones since mine are already getting wear after 4k miles.

Someone have a part number for the door panels?

 

u can get a much nicer system than that oem system for cheaper at a local car audio place!..

but if you can maybe buy one used (from someone who needed more) for cheap it could be worth it!...

sorry to break it to you guys but it isn't real leather.. go to recaro's website they never use real leather cause it is too slippery..i saw the seats at the dealer and they dont' feel like real leather either. oh and the subwoofer for the new system prevents you from putting in a rear strut tower bar.

$850, huh? Appreciate you letting me know that, I've never had seats wrapped before and $1000 seemed fair. I'll shop around a little more before I buy anything

 

Ok not looking to stir up a debate but would you not consider the GT3 an enthusiasts car? In Europe it comes with some non leather wrapped recaros that suit the car very well I think.

It's just a matter of personal preference, and has nothing to do with a persons passion for motorsports. I like the look of leather better, but I am far from a non-enthusiast.

If I had it my way the Evolution would be a BMW line and there wouldn't be a better car out there under 100k. I'm glad they are looking towards a little more refinement in the 2004 evos.

i was more so talking about the subwoofer since it blocks the rear strut tower brace. the faux leather is a matter of preference ofcourse. they are still the exact same seats with the same bolster. just a lil bit more slippery

 

the subwoofer is mounted by some screws...you can remount it elsewhere.....i wouldnt consider that a hinderance by any means and a rear strut bar can still be added.

 

i sat in them yesterday while i was at the dealership and i was not really impressed. they felt cheap and they were very slippery compared to the cloth seats although the all black did look really good.

 

I just picked up my Evo with the leather seats and saw this so I thought I would post what they looked like. Personally I like them. The feel is great and I still get a good hug. But I agree with other that everyone will have there own opion.

 

for ****ing 30K I think leather should be standard in all Evos!!
