Mitsubishi is going bankrupt bro, they are not going to install a better clutch just for the fact they know what we are doing with the cars and they want the money. I asked my mitsubishi service manager and he told me the clutch in the EVO 8's are good, so they will not change it. But of course we all know it sux.

sounds like you are worried about the buy. You will get pretty much same issues with STI or EVO if you drive it like there is no tomorrow.

Many of you have probably seen this posted but here's what the MR will look like. Other posts here say it's coming sometime in the last 1/2 of this year.

http://media.mitsubishicars.com/deta...54184&mime=ASC

It's 300 pounds lighter so the same clutch will have longer life. That's almost a 10 percent drop in weight.

That being said, I read in the LA times this morning that 6 mitsubishi executives were arrested and indicted on charges that they covered up life threatening clutch and transmission problems in Mitsubishi-fuso trucks. Who knows, maybe the evo clutches will be warranteed after all if the company stays solvent.

As far as negotiating, do it over the phone once you know what you want. Find a fleet or internet manager and tell him you'll put deposits down once he can give you vin numbers. Negotiate price from there. The volume guys look at time as money and not coming in will save them time. Some will take off $ for the customer surveys that you get in the mail so throw that in the mix.

Ha, you think you will find 7 MR's locally at one time. You will be hard pressed to find 7 MR's in your state.

I love my Evo, but if you want a fast car for dragging, look at the '04 SVT Cobra. And a few bolt-ons, look out.

why don't all 7 of you chip in say, $30,000 x 7 = $210,000

Buy a lambo or a Ferrari and share on the weekends?

I want the ACD

Where do you live in VA ??? If yu are saying that there are loads of Mitsubushi's around, then im guessing that you live in Tysons....... DONT GO TO STHOLMAN !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyways..... I'm gonna be the first to call B.S. here..... 7 kids all buying the same cars ??? thats the only problem here, that you are being gay by all having the same car.... if you guys went to my highschool when i was there i would kick your asses for being loosers. The coolest thing about having an EVO is having a rare car. Its not gonna be fun if 6 of your closest friends have the same car that you do....
