couldn't you just stick some AC filter from Home depot in that slot?
lol

I think the HID's are great. I just don't see the point of the adjuster tho. I wish It would go up, for moutain rides and such.

HID lasts longer than Halogen I think.

definitely right... I heard HID were supposed to last the equivalent of 8-10 years of normal use. That part is cool... unless you get a rock through it and the ur out $1200!! I am just paranoid I think. It would be nice if they went higher, but I still feel like the inefficent dispersal of the halogens to the side and up is nicer... gives you more peripheal (sp?) vision at night. Not as clean or bright... but broader, more spread out light. I am so far off topic now... sorry... I'm gonna get my **** back to work!!

The fog light does that side to side and up and bottom lighting tho.

If it breaks, and $1200 is over your deductable, the insurance will cover things like that...

You could always sell your lights on ebay and get the RS headlights. I'm sure you'll get some money left over to buy some nice set of something or other with it.

i was seriously considering the RS lights. I'm kind of a mechanical moron, so I wasn't sure if there would be problems with the wiring, electronics, whatever. So I was nervous to try it.. but might give it a host down the road.. or if I ever need to replace mine.

Here's another thread with pictures of the cabin airfilter. I stopped by the dealer and indeed there's one on the '04 Evo's. I've got one coming for my '03, so i'll know for sure. Here's the link the the pics, however take notice that the ECU is on the right. US models are on the left of the blower motor assembly and i'm not sure if it's left or right hand drive. The seat side bolsters are different, so it may be an overseas model. In anycase the blower motor box looks the same.

Just looked at the car. The holes for the screws, as well as the locating pin are present on the '03 cars. There are grooves on all four sides of the opening. If you feel from the inside the area under the groove is not thick. Inside of the air box there are guides for the filter assembly.

I wonder if the install directions says something like cut through the groove with a knife to make an opening for the filter?

This looks very doable. I plan to order a filter in the morning.

I hate them.. wish I just had some real good halogens. Cheaper to replace, light is better spread out... just like it better. Not a big HID fan in any car I have driven.
I don't think a filter filters out smells. They only filter out particles.

Actually, that other thread shows a picture with a charcoal filter, so it does filter out smells.

And air filter in your car won't help you.

If you are coughing up blood, you should see a doctor. That symptom could be a sign of a major problem.
