Maf Sensor

i took off my aem intake from my EVO VIII and now i'm just gonna put the filter back on . since other said it's better . it's worth the try. but what do i do with my MAF SENSOR. can i just leaving it hanging there ? if i do will it mess up the car? or do i actually have to plug it ? thanks in advance

Your car needs the signals coming from the MAF sensor to operate correctly. Was it unplugged before???

If you don't plug it in, the ECU won't know how much air is entering the engine.
