HELLO!!! Didn't you guys read my post? The Euro spec 8 looks 100% like that first pic. They come with 5-speed, SAYC and ACD, no auto climate control and no navigation and they DO have this blue dash trim
I have a LHD VII with 5-speed and AYC and ACD and that picture is definitely not from a VII, is my English so bad that you don't understand what I'm writing??? I’ll take it one more time, THAT PIC LOOKS 100% LIKE THE 5–SPEED EURO SPEC EVO8 THAT COMES WITH SAYC AND ACD. Maybe it’s available in some other markets as well but it’s still 100% looking like that.

active yaw control (AYC) and super AYC. AYC has bin on the EVO from number 4 i think. it is basicaly an active rear diff that adjust the torque bias to each of the rear wheels to give best grip and in corner handeling, like an electronic LSD. one problem with them (and why the RS doesn't have it) is that there is a section in the diff that is only 2mm think! this lead to problem with diffs breaking on the GSR modles when people started to launch thier evos with anything over stock power. this is why, with the earlier EVOs (the lash angles have bin sorted on the EVO VIII) everyone wants the RS set up.
i dont think you guys get the AYC/SAYC which is problay why you aren't getting any rear diff problems even though alot of people are draging them with a lot of power!
ACD is an active centre dif and is very good (so i hear). i think the JDM and Euro cars get it on the RS and GSR modles and the rally guys seam to love it! its like a mini WRC set up. i think Mitsubishi put it in to keep up wit hthe Scooby crew in Group N rallying as they have had them for a while, and now people are starting to get them mapped (i.e. locking the centre diff under breaking to stabalise the car and give better braking, custom set ups for tarmak and gravel) and it makes a huge diffrecne! i think these units are strong and i have not heard any problems with them (yet)! could be useful for dragging, but dont now how much power they can take! may just be better with a viscus centre diff!
Hope this helps a little, Chris.
