They shouldn't flicker, unless you have cat eyes. It's a Halogen, it's flickering 1000 times + a second.

COME ON PEOPLE, AUTO ADJUST HID ON EVO? WHAT ARE WE DRIVING BENZ?
Who said anything about auto adjustment? The point is that the HID housing is not mounted firmly to the headlight housing. It is mounted on some type of motorized bracket or something. If there is any play what-so-ever in the way the motor moves the light, it can move under a hard impact.

The flicker when the car shakes from potholes, etc. Mine do the same thing. I think it's either the housing mounted on those adjustable mounts, or the gas inside the bulb shaking around... and I'd guess the first.

Well here is a visual guide on how to do a grounding kit. As I said earlier that my HIDs got a little brighter with no noticable flicker.

And in this photo you will see by the arrow indicated that this wire will go to your tranny case. You have to remove the battery to get to it. There will be 2 screws. DO NOT attach the wire to the screw with fluid on it, that's your transmission fluid. Find the screw that's dry and attach it to that one.
And that's all there is to it. Easy!
