Do your HID's flicker?

I just got my Evo last night. So far I love it, and I've already put 150mi on it last night (all back roads :-D).

I did a search but couldn't find anything. When I hit bumps the lights seem to flicker a bit. Not so much get dimmer or anything, but just wiggle a tiny bit.

My HID setup in my WRX did a similar thing, so I'm not too concerned, I was just wondering if this is something the car does...

Thanks all!

-S

P.S. I'm running the lights as high as they go...

One of the advantages of the HID's is that they have a much sharper cutoff than standard halogen bulbs. In a nutshell, this means that the border of the lighted area will be much sharper and more pronounced, which may exaggerate the impression of motion with your car.

They flicker when you hit bumps in the road. Since the EVO has a stiffer suspension it will cause the hid projectors to shake.

Mine doesn't flicker, but I have a grounding kit and actually my HID's are a little brighter because of it. I've had it for over a year and no problems.

Mine do. I think it has to do with the fact that we have that gay switch inside the car to electronically adjust the headlight. It only does it over big bumps in the road.

All you need is about 15 ft of 4 gauge wire and 12 o-ring connectors . I bought mine at Circuit City, but you can go to any stereo electronics store. I don't have my camera with me to show you where to do the connections. But I will take pictures this weekend and post them on this thread. Its very easy to do.

That HID adjust switch only manually adjust the HID leveling. It's for when you have fat people sitting in the back seat and you don't want your HID pointing sky high.

COME ON PEOPLE, AUTO ADJUST HID ON EVO? WHAT ARE WE DRIVING BENZ?

If you think you get HID flicker on your Evo, you should have seen my G35's. It was unbearable....looked like a freekin moped.

Good enough for me! It doesn't bother me, I was just curious.

Thanks!

I'm intresting in those pics if your still getting them up this weekend. I haven't had any issues with my lights though but I've only had it 3 weeks...I do have 1700 miles on it though.
