I hit my limiter few nights back. I'm used to the honda limiter, where they almost breaks your neck and it was sorta odd on EVO.

I was following a M5, right on its tail (of course, not racing, just following and obeying speed limit, yada yada..) and I went over to 7500 RPM.

The thing just whined and made a funny sorta sounds like something squeeking or something odd (I can't describe it).

I didn't really feel the fuel cutoff or anything.

Have you guys done this yet? I was on 2nd gear when that happened.

ps. I kept up with that M5 all the way. And I had no launch and I let him have a car length ahead of me.

I'm cutting at 7800. We hit the rev limiter all the time on the dyno, nothing to worry about. That's what it is there for!

sweet. I was just concerned, since it didn't cutoff rapidly.

I hit my rev limiter last summer in 1st and 2nd. I was next to a Trans Am and my window was even with the back of his car. It was so loud that I couldn't hear or feel my own car and I hit the fuel cutoff. Twice. It's an odd feeling because the car just dies.
