Should I get an underbody coating for new Evo?

Hi

A while back someone had an Evo for sale and I think they said they had an underbody coating applied (I think at the dealer) when they purchased it. It sounds like a good idea, is it necessary?
We're getting an evo some time before this winter and they put salt on the road where I live. If I'm going to get some sort of protective coating what should I ask for and who should I ask?

Also, is there a "I just bought an Evo, what do I do need to do to it?" page or thread anybody can recommend. I'm sure more questions will pop up and after reading this board for a little over a year now I've heard a variety of things but it's impossible to keep up with the high volume of posts on here, thats why it rocks so much though. Has to be one of the biggest car communities on the net.

Thanks a bunch
