Question Which Turbo Timer you perfer?

Hi, I am new here! I just got my EVO VIII last week and I am very excited about it. I have a question regarding turbo timers and hopefully someone can help me out. Which one are good? I saw the Apexi one and they are the size of a pen. Would I need to buy a seperate wiring module for it? Thanks guys!

I got the HKS type 0, because it was black and red/orange display and matched the car interior. And it goes well on top of the steering column. For that, you do have to buy a separate wiring harness (or u can splice urself!, which i dont recommend). I'm not too sure about the Apexi one, so I won't say anything, but it does look pretty cool, but i can't think of where to put it, since it'll want to roll around.

Blitz DTT...the turbo timer is small, works flawlessely and is user-friendly. The digital boost gauge is great for giving some of the cool features of an electronic boost controller (vac gauge, peak boost, boost warning, digital boost) for those who prefer a mechanical boost gauge.

i like the apexi turbo timer, its sleek and small and not gody design and can be hidden from sight if desired. Also has some good features like batt vot, 02 readout, af ratio. I had mine inserted on the steering wheel mount.

I vote for the Apexi too. It is a little bit bigger than a magic marker and can be placed right on top of the steering column under the tach.

HKS type-1 hands down. It has all the features you need (auto timer, batt volt) plus speed warningw/peak, rpm warning (adjustable Shift light changes color and beeps)w/peak, 0-60ft, 0-.12 (8th mile), 0-.25 (quarter mile), and 0-60mph. I didn't think i needed these features, but they are definately worth the extra coin.

All turbo timers do the same job, just pick one that looks the nicest to you, or has the most extra features that you want. Most of the extra stuff you won't end up using anyway, so you could also just go with the cheapest one. Whichever way you go, they all do the same thing, keep the engine on after you take the key out.

i've found the greddy to be the easiest to use, but as stated above, they all essentially do the same thing

Id say get the blitz Becuase it counts down for you. You dont have to manually set it at 1 min or wutevers ... for the blitz one it leaves time by how much you reved. So the harder you drive the longer it stays on
