Post Question about grounding kits......please read.

I'm going to do my own grounding kit this weekend. I was thinking of running the wires so they don't show much.

Will the lenght of the wires make a difference on the grounding? Is shorter better or does it really matter?

Thanks

I believe the thickness of the wires might make differences as provide better response, but the length nah..

Yes it will make a big difference, You need certain lengther to reach to different parts of the cars. I say buy a kit, so what if you spend a lil extra, they have it all rigged up and setup for you to use as well. I also sandpaperd down my grounding points where there was paint for a better connection. A lot of people disagree, but i LOVE this mod, Definitley smoothed out my idle, No more getting shocked when i got out of the car, All electrics are smoother, Better throttle response, and pulled up top just a littttle better. I was very impressed and would highly recommend it.

Thanks for the help guys.

What gauge wire do you recommend? I was thinking 4 gauge. I know everyone has there own idea of what is the right gauge to get. I've done searches on here and everyone has something different to say.

I will still try it out this weekend. It's only $20, so it's no big deal if it doesn't work.

Make sure you get wire with as many strands as possible. You want a lot of thin strands; rather than the thicker strands found in cheap wire. PM me if you need some help. Usually high end stereo wire (4 gauge is good) will work best. Like the stuff used to move power to the amps.

Good luck and let me know how it turns out. If you search the board you can find the exact lengths you need.

Go to How to forum and see the Mitsu instructions and ground points, I think they tested the best ground points possible. Go and make a copy and save $
