You also lose the sunglass holder when you opt for the sunroof. That and the car flexes more because there is a giant hole in the roof.

at my driving level, i probably wouldn't be able to feel the difference between having or not having the sunroof. Having the sunroof everyday and enjoying it would be more rewarding then shaving off .01 second on a lap time.

you don't have to drive at 10/10th's to feel the difference...although an Evo with a sunroof is not squishy either.

well what im trying to say is that the difference would not come to my benefit as much as having a sunroof would.

in the thin steel roof the EVO has already I would disagree that a sunroof makes any bit of difference...if anything the glass is stronger than the steel already there.

I would trade you my cloth Recaros for the Leather ones!!

In addition to being inaccurate you are also ignoring the weight penalty in the worst possible place.

well I could see how you would say that you are an RS owner...I drove a non-sunroof 03' around some curves and could not tell any difference...it about made the sales guy freak out...but I honestly couldn't tell any difference in that one and mine that has a sunroof!

I understand that in a Honda the sunroof makes a huge difference but with the EVO I just couldn't feel any difference. The way I see it the car is a daily driver 98% of the time and a racer 2% of the time...so my comforts come first. And with the EVO there are not many comforts so I will take what I can get!

I don't blame you...alot of people dig the roof. I had an '03 with the roof and I didn't really care for it. Is there a night and day difference between the two...no. As you said, 98% of the time it really doesn't matter. For me it was a combination of aesthetics and performance...I really like the clean look without a s/r.

Dude chill. It's not that big of a difference in the EVO. On on other cars I would agree with you 100%. I guess I shouldn't let my wife drive my Evo cause here **** are big and the weight penalty could cause an accident.

Take care,
Ron

now in 5 years when I make the EVO a real race car I may regret getting the sunroof! But for now the roof is nice to have!

Sounds like your a happy man...you should let her ride in the EVO so the suspension being so bumpy will cause them to...well you know what I'm getting at....but keep your eyes on the road.
