Question 04 sun and leather

I was wondering if the sun and leather package weigh significantly more than the regular option.

The sunroof adds the weight where you need it least and takes away from structural integrity... I think there is about a 200lb difference between an RS and a fully loaded Evo (infinity radio, leather, wing, sunroof)

makes it "top heavy" and your helmet bumps against the roof if you're over 6 ft. tall and plan on any track days/autocross. I wish I could have found a non-sunroof 03 when I bought mine last year...

I think the sunroof adds about 17-20 lbs to the regular Evo.

Check one of the euro boards...they should be able to hook you up...but I would guess maybe 10-15lbs a piece...

Thanks jason, i'll check those out. But 10-15 lbs more could be worth it. haven't tried them out yet.

Is it going to be possible to get the Sunroof without leather? On the website they are only listed together in the package

I'm not familiar with the ES...

Spitfire, i'd say it depends on what you want...if it is your only car you may want the loaded version...

The last I heard it was a package, I don't think you can separate them. What you can do is bargain with the dealer and see if they will swap out the leather for the regular recaros and they can hit the next guy for them...or swap the leathers with an EvoM member the way you see them swapping trunks for those who want or don't want the wing...

Yeah Jason, it all depends. If they are that much more nicer, it'd be worth it. But im not a huge fan of leather to start with. My back sweats to much.

I think the leather would weigh not that much compared to the standard cloth seats. I wish that the sun and sound package came without the leather recaro's.

Yeah i wish they had them all as separate options. so you could mix and match what you wanted. This might be more costly in terms of production but it would be a great convience for us. I know some people might want the sound but no sun and leather. Or sound with neither sun or leather.

personally i'd go with just sound and sun.
