Oh, and big, trunk mounted speakers can yield extra down force for track days, the louder they get, the more down force generated - good for 5 sec increase in lap times .....

 

I guess you are saying that with these mod(s) - not one mod btw- that you will decreasing weight and therefore in theory increase HP. Although the reality is you are not gaining any HP obviously, but in fact by reducing weight actually increasing the effectiveness of the present HP. If you think these mods will be this effective for you then my fellow Evo owner you have alot to learn.

I think the most weight reduction you will see from the mods is probably 90 lbs and this is a "give you a break" figure. This alone will not net you much more than .02 off you 1/4 time. As far as your downgrading to 2.25 inch exhaust, I am not sure what the line of thinking there is. There has been some research that shows a 2.5 inch downpipe can yield higher hp #'s than a 3" one, but as far as the rest of the exhaust I have not seen any evidence of this. I sincerely hope someone helps you with these questions. I would give one of the tuners a call, Buschur, Turbo Trix, Vishnu, etc... they have a vast amount of knowledge and also can sell you some of these products.

the cheapest and most reliable way to gain horsepower and to make your car faster is to just lie about it. it has worked for years. my evo for example has 996 hp and runs deep 7's. i have just under $1200 in mods and the air still blows cold. i am willing to give anyone a ride but i need at least a days notice because i convert back to stock pretty often. i would hate for someone to show up for a ride and not be able to give them a real 7 second pass.

but on the lighter side of things, i will be installing mbc, flash and exhaust hoping to pit me at a 12.9...if and when i take my car to the track...but by then ill probably have a gialla hood or something and rims...possibly 12.8? who knows... later

 

haha.. aight after a night of cutting and spliceing my wire harnis my ebc is working pritty well working on playing with settings.. thanks to the help of blackevo and his bro every thing looks to be workn now off to solder the connections more nicely and make it nice and neat.

Thanks for the compliment air...i though myself and chinto where the only ones who found it funny. I was dying and when no one caught on i thought there MUST be something wrong with me. Anytime man...i know the feeling of going nuts...everyone at my place of work kept asking if i was looking at **** or something.

Alias - it depends on what stickers you put on buddy...type r's usually work well. id stay away from accord stickers though...and type s's as well...

Chinto - glad you got the ebc all fixed up in the few places where it wasnt getting a reading.
