V-powered

can anyone tell a difference from trying the v-powered premium fuel from shells? In other countries it has a octane of 98, not sure about here.

Its still only 92 octane here and I hate shell gas its always dirty and just doesn't perform as well as others... Personally I prefer 76, or chevron.

its 93 octane in the southeast. Some have said that it may goto 94 soon. I run it sometimes but I feel I dont get the power from my car like I should. A tech at boost solutions said he did some testing on the fuel and his car had higher EGT's. This is due to the extra cleaning chemicals they put in the fuel. I believe it is 5x as much than normal fuels. The higher EGT's also mean that the car is more prone to knock and pull timing, which we dont need.

if it's available chevron is going to be your best bet for normal premium (91-93) due to their superior techron additive.

I agree, Shell and Arco are the dirtiest fuels. Only 76 and Chevron for my EVO too.

Amazingly enough, I use the Safeway gas and for some reason it works the best for me. I consistently get 25-26mpg with mixed city/highway. It works better than Shell or Conoco, and it works exactly the same as the BP in my area. PLUS, I get the $.03 discount with the Safeway Club card. WOOOO

I went to my shell station last night because Sunoco was closed and I needed gas badly. I said "5 dollars vpower". The pump then proceeds to exceed past 5 all the way to 12 before the idiot 14 year old kid gets to it.

That's the last time I'm going to my shell station around here
