HID Bulbs

Does anyone now what HID bulbs the EVO uses? Im upgrading to a hotter set of bulbs but they make 2 different bulbs (D2R or D2S).

D2S. Don't go too hot with the bulbs. Anything over 6K will lower the brightness of the light output

You can get them here

Did you know you have to take the bumper off?

Im actually getting 8000k's, and they do throw more light out. I have tested on many different cars, as well as my own truck which I went from a 5000k to a 8000k. I also can get the lights cheaper than that web site. Im changing the bulbs at the same time Im getting my headlights blacked out. Thanks for the info anyway.

8000Ks are way too blue and just give you more backscatter, which is dangerous in bad weather...they may look "pimp", but their performance actually sucks when measured with a light meter...your eyes can fool you...the stock HIDs are best...pure white light with minimal backscatter...
