i have a problem

i had an electrical fire today, it started with the nx intercooler chiller wires. i crossed the pos and neg and started smelling smoke. then i saw smoke under my dash and under my hood. both pos and neg wires burnt all the way to the switch. i checked everything else and it seems fine, but now my greddy electrical boost gauge doesnt read correctly. when i hit boost it always hits around 27-30psi and i know im not running that. my profec b tells a different psi more likely what seems right but im not sure. even on low boost (17psi), the gauge still reads about 27psi. i need help finding whats wrong. have i screwed my gauge up and need another or is it something else? thanks

Yes, the guage is probably done. I did this once and my tach went out. I fried my ECU so I bought an EMS. You win some, you lose some. You have to be very careful when working with wires. I've learned the hard way many time. Now I disconnect my negative cable from the battery and never have any problems.
