I need a 12v source in the trunk for some neons im throwing in for my stereo system... What's the best place to tap into?

 

You don't tap in back there man...run a line to the battery...fuse it within 18 Inches of the battery to keep from burning down your evo if and when the line shorts out and run that to the back on a switch.

 

Ya but do you want the lights to turn on when the trunk is open? If it's just a light bar there's no problem with tapping the power line from your trunk light source. Also if it's for your stereo shouldn't you already have a 4-8 gauge power wire and a remote turn-on lead? That should be coming off your battery and fused if installed correctly. I

 

its 2 12inch neon tubes... I tried running into the remote turn on lead, and it would casuse the am to turn off after 30 seconds. I'll run another line from the battery

 

Need to know where I can find a 12v ignition tap in the trunk if there is one.
