Factory 400hp Evo!!!

Wassup Guys... I was recently at the local bookstore, and read a Euro magazine that stated the Mitsu had imported 300hp versions of the EVO to fight the grey market sales of EVO's in Europe. They also said that they are currently testing the idea of releasing a 400hp version. How much boost can these little engines take????

They already have the Extreme (also known as Fighter in Japan) that would be over 300BHP, not sure how close to 400 though.

the veilside kit makes the Evo look like some damn 18 year olds street car instead of a rally champ. But I've talked to an E7 rally driver who even said that he thought it would make a helluva street car.

I've heard a rumor from a very reliable source that with enough money and enough time, one can easily take the new Evo 8 US-spec engine to around 550hp.

Anyone here get the EVO magazine? They have a long term EVO VII and I think it is an Extreme, or it is an RS with a few mods. I am sure there was an Extreme in there some time but maybe it was just a test? Anyway, tests and stuff are here http://www.evo.co.uk . They took it to a track day and it performed very well but they said it wanted to be driven sideways but if they did they would get black flagged .
Aston
edit : I just checked and it is an EVO VII RS Sprint - 320BHP, sorry.
