For everyone asking, "What brand of coilovers should I buy?"

I think this answers that question - RRE JICs.

And this car really shows that a properly driven Evo with minor modifications will crush just about anything on the track. That's why my next modifcations are going to be more track time and driving school so that I can get John to set me up with more aggressive JICs.

And who's got enough ***** to stay at wide open throttle around that banking, I don't.

lol.. that was great... amazing how much difference a driver can make.

How were your egt's? and how did the Hoosiers feel after those hot laps?

I usually run V700's for track events but would like to try the Hoosiers....

fun to watch.... cant wait to try out the EVO myself!

BTW - when will you guys get your rearsway bars back in stock? I would like to take my car over to you for your recommended 'magical' alignment...

With there was a mini-cam on the speedometer and rpms's at the same time! Like a picture in picture.

EGT is right at 900C, Hoosiers were working well, but that racecourse has an extremely smooth surface, so it is kind to fragile tires.

Rear anti-roll bars should be back in stock within the week, send me an email off-list if you would like to be emailed when they come in.

Very excellent driver. I autocross, so I felt those lines and weight transfer as I was watching that video! You gotta keep in mind, those other cars most likely weren't driven by as skilled driver as John, so don't get such a big head (don't get me wrong, Evo is very superior!)

The car is doing 150mph indicated on the speedo entering the banking. This track has a lot of WOT in 5th gear, that wall on the outside is ugly at speed, especially in a street car like this.

Nice video. Many thanks for capturing that and sharing the rush. Seemed like some of the others were "standing still"

Any fuel or oil pickup problems running on the banking? How often did you have to dump your oil catch can?

BTW, great video. Always fun to watch in-car.

Listen to the motor...WOT for 30+ seconds will KILL EVO motors tuned the way most tuners do it (just as Metaphysical) I have over 2K in additional cooling and still need the heater to keep the engine within the temp ranges we are safe with...EGT is good but John didn't say that we were doing 1 out lap 2-3 hot laps and then cooldown laps cause we were building both motor and tire heat...Also a tire failure @ these speeds will kill your car PS watch the video again and look at and count each car killing concrete structure ALL located within easy reach of a spinning evo. The 2nd place Race 1 viper cut down a tire in turn 1 the driver with a MUCH higher skill level than 95% of the evo drivers still hit the wall hard enough to total his car (120K+) and got a ride and full check out in the ambulance thats what I mean by a track that can and will eat cars/motors. (oh the day we were there we had 8 blown race motors and 10 sheetmetal events 3 trailering the cars)John, kent, matt and myself thanked murphy for a fast and mechanicaly uneventfull day and didn't run the last two sessions!...Speedventures is one of the fastest groups and they have the best setup cars out west here ...so if they are having problems...I rest my case. I was the second fastest EVO because I cranked so much downforce into my car to stick it down I limited my top speed (my first day at this track in the EVO) but was happy with my RA1 times against the Hoosiers (within 1/2 second)

The video doesn't do justice to John feathering the car on the banking. Just a tad more and the car goes right up into the wall and the evo parts get to try to make it over the catch fence. This is a crazy track!
