04 models have same paint issues?

04 models have same paint issues?

I read a post saying that their cars paint is chipping near the door where the dirt hits it. Did Mitsubishi fix it for the 04 models?

Yes, 04's should have a piece of clear bra installed that should keep it from happening.

Of course since your car is an RS maybe they left them off for weight savings

Hm...It turns out is there, even on the early '04s (build date 3/04). I have no idea how I could have detailed so many times and never noticed it.

they need to start doing double stage, instead of single stage painting job. It's crap.
