brake question

brake question

i brought my evo to the dealer and they said the the sqeauk noise i waas hearing was jsut the trace sqeauk anbd its normal on the evo? is this accurate?

I'm not sure if there is a consensus on this or not.

I, personally, have not had any squeaking/squealing whatsoever since I bought the car with 5 miles on the odo. I now have 11k miles.

I broke the brakes in per the dealer recommendations.

If it's new, yes. They may have not put your shimmy back on.

Semi Metallic brake pads always squeek when its new, but it shouldn't do it all the time.

Check how much padding you have.

yes, if you read the booklet, it'll say the break will make some noise from time to time, its normal for the evo.

ok noob question what is a shimmy?
and after you break it in will the noise stop?
it gets annoying
