Bigger intercooler?? I don't think so because we're lucky enough to be able to get a FMIC. That's the reason why the cosmetics on that grille seem like they are regressing compared to the previous versions. I mean it's all because of the crash tests. But I can assure you of this, If you are basing this comment on this picture, you should go look at the other pictures. This is a photoshop and isn't true to the Evo VIII that we all think is coming out.
In conclusion, Evo's have always had very good Intercoolers capable of handling great boost, I doubt would change that tradition and go through all that trouble witht he crash tests and new grille to bring us a dinky IC.

 

I heard that they actually are bringing the size of the intercooler down a bit to help with the crash tests.

You do realize that is just a photochop of the European Evo VII they had on display at one of the auto shows?
