Vote! Pay Extra for real EvO8 or .....
I don't care so much about the AYC, but I definitely want ACD. Every review I have ever read about the Euro spec (or J-spec) says the ACD is what sets it over the top in the cornering dept. and that is easily as important as raw power. I WILL be getting this car, but I would gladly wait a little longer and pay 5k+ for an upgraded package with the active differentials and 6spd. So far, though going on vague information, it sounds like we're getting Recaros and Bremcos either way, but the ACD is worth the extra price tag for me.
Well, If I'm really spending 30 grand, which ofcourse I know I'd be hard pressed affording. I might have to sell my left kidney, I am hoping Mitsubishi will not betray us with a weaker version.
I can't afford much more than 34. Heck atm, I can't even afford 20, but I will do something when the car comes, maybe sell all of my current cars, or sell all except the 3000GT. I WANT ACD, perhaps the AYC isn't really needed, ofcourse great to have, I want the power, the quick steering. I don't want another DSM, although the Evo is pretty close to a DSM, but then again very far away from one too.
Mitsu should really rls 3 trims, Sissy, RS and GSR.
The Sissy trim ofcourse is to compete with the WRX, a 270HP engine, without recaros, brembos, etc, but close to the same engine, if they wanna throw in a quick spooling smaller turbo, that's fine. Now the RS ofcourse we all know about, I want the GSR, somewhat luxury but also a lot of performance.

Having Evos featured in the Fast and the Furious 2 is NOT helping though...

In Japan, up until very recently, price was no option for GT-R or Evo buyers. If you want to drive a car off the lot, you put your hanko (name stamp) on the contract and the bank just nods. This is probably due to the fact that the consumer used to set the monthly payment amount, and banks didn't care if it took you your whole life to pay the ride off.
Here in the US, credit is a real serious issue. Like if you need a parent to co-sign, you can drive an Evo VIII off the dealer's lot and make no payments for a year, with 0% APR! Meanwhile, most folks will be paying close to 7.9% for 72 months, like I am on my '03 OZ. That can get WAY pricey when we're talking about a US GT-R for 70K, or whatever.
So if I feel like sticking a stoopid SiR sticker on my trunk, it's because I am paying TOO MUCH for this bogus Evo wannabe
After I blew the engine on my Panda AE Levin (Read Initial "D"), I bought a Suzuki Jimny (Samurai) in Japan and it cost me like 20K! I was paying over $500/month! What a royal rip, but I'm a Gaijin, so EVERYTHING was way more expensive. I'm forking out $300/month for the OZ now, not bad, considering I've only been in the US for about two years. No credit history...but I still drove it off the lot. That, my friends, was the real deal!
IF I had a choice, I'd take the import EVO, right-hand drive, original Japanese model. Overhaul it to pass SMOG, then part out the original pieces, and install high performance components. As for a Skyline, I think I'd keep the evo for everyday use, and get the 4-door skyline GTS, which is half the price of the GTR, and use it for our "family car".

the RS is the base model , i got no idea why you said sissY trim
if you wanan just throw in a turbo in an engine just use a 4g93 with a trubo like the cedia turbo , then in this case why bother badge it under evo and fuq up the name
"it's evo , it suppose to kick azzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz" so no small turbo thanks
