I'm helping my friend put his intake on and all was going fine, but we need to take the front bumper off and we cant find all of the screws. I have searched and found a few things but I would like to find more detailed answers.

Is there a DIY on this?

He is working on it in my garage as I type this and I need to get some help a.s.a.p!

Is it the one with the intercooler hardpiping? If so there is no need to take the bumper off, just take off the undertray.

We were actually having a hard time with it. It would not make any boost, but I guess what happend is we *cough* I *cough* cracked the stock bov. He put his aftermarket one on and it was fine.

With all the problems we ran into the install only took about 6 hours . Taking off the bumper made it easier, and if we would have done that in the first place it wouldnt have been too bad. I think the thing that gave us the most trouble was the screw on the clamp holding the pipe to the turbo was on the bottom, and it was very hard trying to get your hands down there.

But it sounds soooo sweet

 

Does your EVO now feel slower after the install? I jsut installed this kit 2 days ago and it's loud as **** but feels slower...dont have a dyno to verify (or a G-tech)

oh well... The BLING is in full effect under the hood!

 

I had that same problem, except my hands were too big to fit, and I just cut the stock intake piping. Does sound sweet. Havn't noticed my car being slower, I'm barrowing someone elses MAF right now, so my ecu isn't in limp mode, and it feels pretty good.

 

had that problem also i was installing this set up on lostsoulevo's car,and that was a b*tch to get to.i don't remember it being that hard on my evo.the injen looks good,and sounds good.
