As for the under hood bushings I have not installed any yet, my Kartboys should be here this week, I have looked at the stock bushing set up and it looked fairly self explanitory, I think if you still have the stock battery in place then you may have to remove it.
Oh... My bad. I didn't know the kits were different. I do have the metal ones from LancerShop.
BTW you might want to take out the battery. It is a hell of a lot easier. Allthough the metal ones are probably harder to get on, so these might be easier.

Which ones are you doing? I did not have to do anything to mine to make them fit (underhood bushings). Put one half on either side and hooked back up.

you gotta remove the whole shifter base to sand the holes which was the worst part of the install.

93civEJ1, I think this how-to is more of what you are looking for
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?p=971480

edit: and here is a how-to pertaining to the install of the lancershop underhood bushings, not Kartboy but some very nice install pics at the bottom of the page.

sweet....thanks..yah...i have looked at all those. I just finished up the shifter base install about 15 mins ago. let me tell you. You will have to do not just a little, but SOME trimming of the holes. I used the exacto knife on the holes and it worked perfectly. BE CAREFUL. there is a brace that the ashtray screw bolts too and the edges of it are VERY VERY sharp...I sliced my hand open and was bleeding like crazy. The bushings are a pain the the butt to put in. Im about to start on the underhood ones in a min. Will let you guys know how it goes as well.

Well, it's too late now since you cut your shifter base, but for future reference I would suggest people cut the bushings and not the shifter base. The reason you'd want to do this is for reversability. If for some reason you decide you want to change your bushings back to stock or to the metal ones, your shifter base holes will end up being too big.

I bought the Kartboy bushings and ended up not using them because I had to cut them too much to make them fit. Instead, I just ripped the energy suspension bushings out of my eclipse and used those instead.

eh...its no big deal...i didnt take a hugh percent out of it...the stock ones would fit back in just the same if I wanted to throw them in.
