Dude, seriously go find some lube around the house. Vegetable oil.. KY.. something! You'll be AMAZED by how much difference lube makes when pushing those things out!

alright...yeah the pins were out. Im done...i just go fed up with it and just grabbed a flat head and instead of trying to pry em out I just pushed those mugs through. The large stock one fell down the engine bay, and I couldnt find it..Oh well, but the other one I still have. Im about to go on a test drive.

sweet, I think that was what people were trying to say, that you have to push them through not pry them out, anyway I hope that large one is ok where it landed and falls out when you drive. please let us know what you think, I have alread reaped the benefits of a short throw and shifter base bushings but I can't wait to see what the linkage bushings feel like, ups says they should be at my door on friday. LOL I have my car back together for 2 weeks and I'm already getting the mod bug again, I need help.

eh...i just went out to get my hair cut and back. The shifting is much harder to do...more stiff. I dont know if I like it or not, but I will give it a few days to break in, there is no way I will be taking these out though. For my shifting, I dont know if it made it worse or even helped out all. Just feels more stiff is all.

well I installed mine yesterday in all of 10 minutes, about half of that time was spent searching for one of those bastard retainer pins that fell into the abyss, but my trusty ol' extendable magnet saved me again. WOW I absolutely love the way my car shifts now, previous to this I already had installed a short throw with some metal shifter base bushings but the linkage bushings really brought the whole package together. I noticed that I haven't been able to duplicate the tiny 5th gear grind I used to experience when shifting from 4th to 5th at moderately high rpm's. Fantastic product from Tom of Kartboy. Oh and to those that have installed these bushings and even Tom if he reads this. I reinstalled the metal washers that went in between the stock bushings and the retainer pins, is this recomended or does it matter at all?
