Q: The EVO VII that flipped over in EU on the track

I saw that EVO MIX 2 video and I just saw the actual VID of the White EVO with Porsche's and Callham(sp) I believe in France. Anyone know exaclty what happened and why a lady was carrying the drivers helmet BUT I saw no driver. Here is that link of parts of it on the EVOMIX 2 video. I dont know how to send the actual video that I just downloaded off KAZAA?

The driver took the turn too wide. Looks like going into the dirt, there is a decline. At those speeds, at that curve, any car woulda flipped over if they went down a decline like that. It's an old video that's been posted hundreds of times before, and from what they say, it was a woman who drove it. I think that's her.

Yep, thats the VID, so yur saying, its completely the drivers fault, and at that turn, any car would flip over?

Yes and no. It's not because that particular turn was doomed. It was driver's fault that she ran too wide INTO the dirt, which any car woulda flipped, or at least lost control.

I have been lucky, but the best approach to an off track is straight out. In her case don't try to stay on the pavement but straighten out the line. I suppose if there is no room out there one could force a spin to the inside of the track. Strange isn't it, against all those Gs the car spins to the inside. Easy talking, pretty darn difficult to get it done, cause there is always hope it won't happen.

My understanding is that she had a tire go down on her as she went into the corner and that is what caused her to have such a wide entrance into the corner

Makes sense. I see that cloud of smoke before she left the road.

If you watch it closely, earlier in the video there is another point where it heads off the track in that same corner but they edit the video there and you really cant tell what happened. Simple case of driving faster than the car was capable of going, IMO.
