You guys talk about Civic Si's like they're the fastest **** on the road. As if "smoking Civics" is tough to do, sheesh.

Maybe he was being sarcastic. But then again, he boasts an Si that runs a 13.8... wait a second, is that supposed to scare people?

What have you done to it?

Have you timed the 1/4 on it?

OK, 13.8 is excellent for an Si. Especially if it is your daily driver.

I was refering to a tuned 4G63. as a corvette killer.

Not my current car, although I can easily make my SR20 just as fast I prefer to save my $ for the Evo.

I want to make a statement with the Evo "Farraris beware!"
I'll be looking for at least 11 sec. with it.

i don't know if you'd be able to smoke ferraris, i don't know there 1/4 times but some of them have like 3 sec 0-60 thats as fast as alot of motorcycles, but then i beat a porsche boxter with my lancer with only cold air intake and exhaust can, i just barely beat it by like a foot though and it was only until like 60 or 70 so it might have pulled away at higher speed, not sure.

OK. here are Mototrend's test figures:

550 maranello 12.5 @ 116.9
360 modena 12.2 @113.5

Evo VII 13.0 @104.6

- can you say intake exhaust and computer?

Pulleys, fuel pump and injectors

How about cams, clutch and flywheel?

Got NOS??????

Amen - I have seen the light -

Yeah 6, the sky's the limit, right?!

So, who's got the best computer upgrade for the 4G63 ?

And how would you set it up?

chuck an external wastegate, hybrid TD06, GTR front mount intercooler and you'll be in the high 10's if you drive it right.

like you said "Bring on the Ferraris"

4banger - thank you for your words of wisdom!

I think that there were a few skeptics around when I originally said the Evo would be a Ferrari slayer with a little tuning. they'll soon see, mate!!!!!

Actually those boxters are pretty slow - for a porsche!

0-60 in 6.6 sec with a stick. I suppose the automatic is even slower - maybe 7 sec.

The Nissan Altima automatic does 0-60 in 6.6 off the show room floor!!! (according to MTrend)

An stock SE Maxima 0-60 in 6.0 sec will destroy a boxter as well

A stick OZ with intake and exhaust vs an automatic boxter - might be pretty close.

NB: I won't go into handling nor the 5.4 sec boxter S

That's a different matter altogether!
