Did you do this at home, or do you have a shop? The reason I ask is that I'm thinking of setting up a work room to do personal CF stuff, and I wonder if it's practical. Any advice on practicing, or is it as straightforward as some of the books present it when working with prepreg (I've got a spare fridge, so...)

here are some links to get you started. No need for prepreg...

http://www.mci.i12.com/carbon/lost_foam.htm

http://www.favonius.com/soaring/lost_foam/lost_foam.htm

the key to seamless parts is carbon fiber sleeving. I made a 4" carbon cold air intake with the sleeving:

When you used the sleeving, how did you cleanly close off the ends? or did you lay up a piece of sheet material to make a bottom? Thanks a lot for the links! They were very helpful...(I'm wondering the same question for the nose of that little plane, actually).

Are you gonna offer these to us for the same price as you are the CoCalevo guys; plus shipping of course?

I'd definately be interested. Shoot me a PM if you're willing. BTW, I really like the one with the "view tube" on the side (not pictured above).
