New EVO oil change

Does anyone recommend changing the oil right after driving Evo 8 off the showroom floor? I heard your engine will be stronger if you change it to regular oil for 1000 miles change again to reg oil to 3000 then back to syn....any advice would be cool!

I changed my oil at 1000 miles, with Mobil 1, 10w30, and again at 3000 with Mobil 1 10W30.

I also changed my transmission fluid with BG at 1000 miles to clear up any loose particles in the transmission.

I'm at 9500 miles now, and have done about 4 oil changes.

I changed it myself. The car comes stock from the factory with 100% synthetic Mobil 1.

So if its 100% synthetis Mobile 1, isnt that like top of the line stuff for the EVO, why would people drain that and put something else?

I think this is a good idea, a few of the tuners do this. Just dont let the dealer find out or you will void your warranty.

If it will void the warranty off a freshly delivered EVO, then how is it a good idea. Search for more info on this, there's some lengthy debate on this subject.

Side note: Mobil 1 is factory filled in Vipers, too. Has anyone heard of Viper owners draining it for conventional oil for the first few miles?
