that rs is wonderful

you guys probably covered it but im new so i'll talk about it too. i drove an evo rs last tuesday and...damn. my car feels like crap next to it. i drove a utec'ed sti right before it, as well as a stock one. the rs is simply a wonderful car. what i really want to know is, can i match the hadling performance of the rs with my lowly "base model" wrx? im not too worried about power mods anymore. it feels better than the s2000 and sti imo.

NASIOC will be the best place to get this question answered thoroughly.

Tenitively I will say that you need:

Bushings
Coilovers
good wheel/tire combo

the chassis on your wrx will never be as good as the evo's... that is pretty much the main difference... iwrxit: check out prodrive.. they have staged suspension setups and they have a package for the wrx that is faster than a usdm sti on the track

but then again, the chassis (the basic) is whats the most important

word dude, im in the same boat as you... im either going w/ an 05 WRX <-- no prob getting one... Or an Evo <--- much harder to find. I drove an RS last weekend and it was killer, but i just need to find a dealership that doesn't lie and treat their customers like idiots.

i actually thought about buying the rs last week. my wrx is paid off and i COULD get an rs but, i dont want to make another couple years of payments. i liked the power of my old setup and i cant wait until next monday when i have loads of new power. even if i get my car to handle better, i want to re-live that evo feeling everyday. i just dont feel like spending $xxxx to do it. i guess i just have to hang out with more evo guys and drive their cars.
