How to pass emmissions w/test pipe

Is there any possible way to pass the sniffer test with a test pipe. I've heard it can be done with high octane gas and some form of engine management (XEDE, UTEC, AEM EMS). Is this rumor true at all? any useful advice?

thanks

Last time I took an OBD-II vehicle to get emissions tested they didn't do a sniffer test. They just did an under the hood inspection and the OBD-II scan.

Why not just put your catalytic converter back in for the test? That's what I plan on doing in 4 years when I need to get emissions tested.

Youre lucky. California is just ridiculous with the smog laws. Im hoping not to get pulled over and getting sent to a state referee.

I live in Milwaukee, and i have my car registered in Sturgeon Bay (where i grew up)

I don't have to take my car in for testing!

Um. A missing cat is a pretty obvious flaw. It's the sort of thing they're going to notice right away, unless they don't bother to look at your piping at all. Which in most places, they're supposed to. It's not like it takes a whole ton of time to put the cat back on. Just swap that in for your test if you just have to run catless. Since pulling your cat can net you a pretty hefty fine, it's probably wiser not to even try being in an emissions station without one.

Find a little no name town that does inspections. Last time i got my car inspected, all they did was make sure the engine ran and the lights worked. It was much cheaper too.
