Hey guys,

I just picked up my new EVO VIII yesterday and have a few basic questions:

first off where is the turbocharger? i have been looking for hours and can't find it, what does it look like?


Also what is that ugly radiator looking thing in the front of the car doing there, i began to remove it but it is difficult to get off, has anyone else had this problem.

i have to go for now but i will be posting a lot now.

Yes, that is an ugly looking radiator isn't it? Most ppl think it's a fmic, it's not. It's like Tonsils, you don't really need it there. If it doesn't come out easily, just rip it out.

Also, there is no turbo, who told you Evo's were turbo?

I found that by using a jackhammer, the radiator thing came off pretty easy. So, Mr. monkey

actually i am serious,i thought evo's had rear mount intercoolers

 

He probably got beaten by an EVO so now he wants to get his anger out

 

mr. monkey, the turbo is located in the trunk beneath the spare tire.

 

Just out of curiousity, how old are you?
but seriously the thing in the front is your intercooler and the turbo is under your hood protected by a heatsheild (that thing that has a BIG X on a hand symbol) ....
