Top 3 performance mods you would do?

What are the first top 3 performance mods you would do? Besides air filter I think most people would get the exaust first, then what would be the second and third?

I'd leave the filter out of the top 3. I would go with turboback exhaust, ecu mod (AEM, XEDE, etc.), and a better clutch.

TBE, Vishnu cam gears and Vishnu stg 1 XEDE ecu or Reflash. It turns your evo into a beast w/o any compromise to relibility. You won't ever regret it!

How much more horses can you get out of those mods you mentioned? And what about the price?

Cams, and a boost controller were the best mods performance wise for me.

If God and Heaven ever allow for such a day, a day when I finally get an EVO, the three must have items will be Cams, Piggy Back (eventually a stand alone system), and Turbo Back Exhaust. Of course I will have other goodies, but those will be my must have items, of course only talking stock turbo. My goal on stock turbo will be 330 to 350WHP.

1) Driving school
2) Tuned reflash or AEM EMS (if you can afford it)
3) Turbo back exhaust (tuned with above)

Do you need to tune your ecu if you were to just get a cat back exaust?

I would fit gauges in there somewher as they are the 1st line of defense unless we are talking outside of that. I would go with KN drop in filter, exhaust, boost controller, and ecu flash or UTEC type. Thats 4 but, you def need a tune after intake. If you look at most companies performance stages, they always begin with intake and exhaust. Free up air= free up power.

I agree with the gauges. You need to be able to see what your car is doing before you add any more power.

#1 - do a damn search. This subject has been killed!!

Before you start modding - make sure you have some guages to see what your car is doing. This is only common sense if you think about it.

You can do complete exhaust w/o any tuning needed.

Oh, and forget the air filter altogether!
