Did anyone try to down grade to something more affordable and end up keeping the evo
yesterday i was trying to see what kind of car will would be more affordable when in
terms of monthly payment since my son will be born 2 months from now.. so i end up test driving a 06 nissan sentra se-r spec V... I drove one of my friends maybe 2 years ago and i really liked it i thought it was faster and has quick acceleration than my prelude but maybe it just have a different feel to it.. I'm really not impressed on how the car looks.. its a 4 door sedan easy to put a baby car seat.. the car itself is light weight.. after test driving it.. It made me realize how ****ty the car was and thought to myself that I'm in troube coz i don't think there's any car out there that i would want to trade my evo with unless if i have to force myself to.. What cars did you guys test drive? I want a 4 door sedan.. I'm not looking for something as fast as an evo but maybe decent in speed, reliability and affordable |
i don't think you can go wrong with an accord or a camry - the camry is real spacious, doesn't look bad neither...

how about a IS 450 or even the IS250 AWD

More affordable in what way? The cost of the actual car? You're pretty much screwed. Camry, accord, there are a few others but nothing that will even compare. If it were me, and I was sticking below 25k, I'd buy the best accord I could get with the 25k.

See Sig <<<<<<<<<<<<<<
The Mazdaspeed 3 is not a sedan, It's a hatchback, but you forget about that when you floor it. And it's under $25K. Evo = Weekend car. Mazdaspeed = Daily Driver. |
Mazdaspeed 3. Cheaper than the Evo, fast, 4 doors, and a sleeper.

Honda civic SI or Mazdaspeed 3

well i just found a used IS 250 for 24k with 13k miles on it i dont see how thats that more then an evo it has class AWD and speed and its a IS250

Im kinda in the same boat. Looking to get out of my current monthly note and onto a less monthly note. After looking around, Im only going to save about 100 bucks a month. The cars that I was looking at are S4, R32, GTI VR6, mazdaspeed3. I think these are the only cars that can satisfy my 'next' car. These car are not that much cheaper that what Im paying for the EVO.
I think if I can hold on to the car for another 6-9 months then I will keep my car. If I cant then Im going to sell my car and not have a car for another 6 months so I can start saving again. Hope that helps. good luck with your decision. |
I bought a VW GLI for my wife and it's awesome. Cheaper than the evo, but still very fun in stock form. Makes 300tq (crank) with just a chip if you're looking for something a little extra down the line, and it gets 34mpg on the freeway.
