^ Is the paint on the front or the back of the needles? I was looking at them and from the top of the needles they are clear.

The paint is on the back of the needles.

Can you use paint thinner or alcohol wipes to remove the paint?

ok, now I'm totally confused about this talk with the "clear" pointers.
First of all, they are a clear acrylic with a foil hot stamp on the bottom side. In order to remove it, you would probably need to somehow scrape it off without damaging the acrylic surface.
But then if you did remove it, the pointer would not light up without the hot stamp to reflect the light up to you.
So what's the point of making them clear? I am totally missing something.... someone please explain to me because I'm feeling dumb here.
Thanks!

The clear pointers at night are actually black. Which contrasts greatly to the bright red... making them even easier to read.

During the day, the needles are white... making them esier to distinguish from the rest of the dash... let me show you...

Here are the white needles during the day. Notice how well you can see them at quick glance (like when you drive.)

And at night...

just wondering - why do you color the bulbs AND put on the condoms?? isnt that what the condoms are for?? just to make it extra red?

Well the reason for the coloring is if you didn't have the condoms.

You can do either or, but the condoms are the best.
