Im working on my swap right now. However I had to cut a zip tie to manuever the wires... Mitsu used it to hold all the wires together.

I just need to take the boost vacuum hose off and on again. And then zip tie that...

My question is...

I cant seem to get the brackets for the volts and boost gauge off. I know they pull right off... But should I be using a plier of some sort? It is so small!

Electricity travels from a high potential to a low potential...like heat. The ground wire is usually black. Come to think of it...it wasn't mentioned in the how-to, I'm assuming the writer assumed that people knew a little about basic electricity. Google my bromo. That thing is too powerful...abuse it.

I finally decided to do this. So easy. Only problem I had was screwing in the 4 screws to mount the gauges. The holes on the frame were a little closer than the bottom ones...I thought, "dremel..." but I resisted and forced the screws in a little. Couldn't hand tighten it, but it still works.

One more thing...I saw these 2 rubber supports on the side of the bottom hole. Radio mounted to those perfectly. WTF Why didn't you mount the radio there in the first place? They probably know every time you try to take a plastic off or some part...there's a chance it'll break or get scratched...more money for them if they sell parts I guess.

Thanks for the write up. Straightforward.

Would anyone happen to have the factory radio mounts for mounting a stock radio up top? If so I need them

If you remove the factory MR gauge cluster and don't replace the boost gauge, what do you do with the boost line? Plug it and leave it behind the dash?
