Reading 16 psi on autometer boost guage

I installed my boost gauge for the second time and now it is reading 16 psi then tapering to 15 psi. The first gauge I had read 25 psi then tapered to 22 psi, but when the car was off the needle went to 5 psi so I figured it was 5 psi off. Returned it now my new one came in and it reads at zero when off, anyone have any clue whats going on? Any advise would be appreciated, Joe.

I have heard Autometer gauges are pretty inaccurate. See if you can borrow a friends Evo with a gauge and try it out.

Friends w/ an evo lol! Around here the evo is pretty rare. I will probably see one every 4 to 5 days and thats w/ driving it everywhere. Thats even w/ a turbo car, I see them more frequently than the evo, but no friends with turboed cars.

Sorry maybe you can get in touch with some of them thru this site and have a meet. Thats how I met most of the Evo owners where I live. I also very rarley see another one maybe once a month or two. Best of luck to you. Also I have myself a Defi gauge and several others do as well and they are pretty much dead on with accuracy. I know You can get a mechanical version for a little over $100.
