HELP!!!! need info on how to tune HKS SSQV properly
i got a hks ssqv that came from japan from a guy that had it installed in a skyline r-34 im guessing the spring is set to something other than the evo 8 specifications please let me know how to properly set it to the right setting without damaging the engine, thanks

Set it all of the way until the bolt is just about to fall out then tighten until you start feeling surge. It's a lurching feeling when letting off the gas to settle into cruising at whatever speed.
I spent quite a few weeks adjusting mine... There was not a kit for the US Evo8 at the time. But now it works great!
Pick a speed then adjust it then adjust it at another typical cruise speed for you. After a while you'll get the feel of how to make the adjustments and set it optimally. I adjusted at 75MPH and 50MPH.
After that you can fine tune to different drving conditions like half boost and cornering speeds/acceleration shifting. It's not crazy to spend some serious time adjusting the BOV just right....
