Fog lights on with just parking lights?!?

Hi,

Has anyone been able to mod the fog lights so that they come on with just the parking lights using the stock switch?

Thanks,
Franc

i know in my Avenger (mitsu-built) that you just needed to jump one blade of the fog light relay to one of the tailllight relay (for use with parking lights) or to the radio relay (for use any time car is on)

i havent messed with the electrical on my evo yet since its freakin' freezing in MA

This has been up for long enough. Anyone with a more detailed how-to?
And yeah avengerhed, I have a bunch of parts to put on, and an overdue oil change, but its way to cold right now.

i'm not sure how to do it. i'm sure it could be done with wire splicing, but that wouldn't look good.

Just make sure to check you're local laws. In PA, you have to have your headlights on if your fog lights are on, and it has to be automatic that if you turn on your bright lights, you're fogs turn off. Check your state laws before doing it, because in PA, you can't. Most cops wouldn't know better, and some inspection shops will let you slide by, but make sure you have all your corners covered before doing it.

For anyone looking to keep the fog lights on all the time, this is for you!! Don't do it! If you have hyperwhite bulbs instead of the yellowish ones it will burn your headlight. I kept mine on every time I drove my car and it made the front part of the headlight housing bubble and warp right in front of the fog light. If I get time I'll take a picture and show you guys what I mean. I'm just trying to help you guys so you don't make the same mistake. Just to let you know I haven't set it up where it stays on with just the parking lights.

THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE ONLY FOR AN 05 TYPE FUSE BOX

Basically you take a thin wire, I used 24 gauge, stuff one end of it on the bottom right corner connector of the foglight relay, and stuff the other end of it into the 6th hole from the left on the bottom row of the headlight relay box connector.

These pics show you the detail:

NOW SOMEONE PLEASE FIND OUT HOW TO DO IT FOR AN 04 TYPE FUSE BOX

uhm.... those instructions were for an 05mr.... i don't know why yours didn't work the mr part shouldn't change anything. if you had the wrong fuse box it would have turned on your wipers.
