properly break in car and maintenance

i was wondering everyones view on how to properly break in your car, i almost always hear to just drive under about 4000 rpm for the first 500 miles. and im new to the whole turbo thing, so what are the things that i have to do regularly to help keep the Evo running good- fluids ect. (dont have an Evo yet, hopefully in the beginning of May)

Try to keep it under 3000rpms for the first 500 miles. After 500 miles keep it under 4000 rpms till 1500 miles. Than just take it easy on it till you have about 4000 miles. Drop the oil at 1000 miles and don't load the engine at low rpms while your breaking it in. Everyone breaks in their cars different this is how I did it.

the owners manual states break-in is done after 400 miles AND that you should let the car idle a while b4 turning it off. you do want to stay below 3k rpms for that period. i changed the oil after 1000 miles & then HAMMERED! i did also change oil every 2k miles since then, added Red Line Water Wetter to the cooling systems (since 4G63's run hot), & check the fluids regularly on both evos.what do i know, i only have 2 evo's...
