Removing stock rear wing?

Removing stock rear wing?

I was looking to remve the rear wing from car. Once you have removed the nuts on the underside of the trunk lid the thing is still stuck on there pretty dang good with the adhesive tape stuff. I don't want to pull to hard on the thing and end up damaging the wing or the trunk lid itself. Anyone tips from some one who has succesfully removed the wing would be much appreciated.

I want to know how to remove the stock wing also. Want to get the stealth look.

ya say you want to leave it off what do you use to plug the holes with.

i just used plastic clips to fill the holes until i got the body shop to fill em and paint em

after the screws are out, there is some super double sided tape on that *****. just rock it back and forth and it will start coming loose, then yank that **** off. but be gentle and careful

so since the evo wing is cf under the paint... say i wonna buy a wing from mitsu and if it comes unpainted it will be all cf right?

were did you get the plastic clips from any pics of it. or what are the called can i get at home depot

sorry, i don't have any pics of it since the holes have already been filled and trunk has been repainted. i took plastic clips for like door panels, just little black press in clips, and went to mitsu and got the touch up paint and painted the clips then put them in.

wish i would have taken some pics sorry

Mike, i had my wing off for 3 months during last winter, i have a Tarmac Black also, i recommend using some electrical tape to cover the holes, works great! blends in AND didnt peel off at all even in the cold!

from the door panels trying to think if there were any lol. what if i just duct tap from the other side. and call it aday. duct take wont leck thow. i will just get black duck tape that shiv good.

tape will work too since your cars black, mines bby so i just painted some plastic clips

Bumping an old topic I know but I'm trying to remove the wing and the adhesive on there is crazy.

Anyone try fishing line? I think I have some lying around just have to find it. Hopefully I can get the wing off.

Any advice?
