Boost Gauge question
What's up everyone.
I have a little problem. I over the weekend installed a turbosmart dual port bov and some other goodies (HKS catback and drop in k&n filter).
Also I relocated my gauges to where the radio was. After I installed the new bov
I noticed that i was still peaking around 1.4-1.5bar but when it tapers towards redline range. it was falling below 1.0bar which isnt normal. So my first thought was maybe it was the new bov. So I went and put back in the stock one and I still had the same problem. I just noticed when I got home from work that when I turned the car off the the boost gauge didnt go back to 0. it;s slightly just below which makes sense for the improper boost readings. My question is this.
Is there a way to re-adjust the gauge back to zero???

Mechanical gauge or electric?
If it's electric it won't go back to zero because there is no power to it when you turn the car off. It should zero when you turn the igniton to "on" but not start the car.
The other side of that is depending on where you pick up power for it, it could be resetting as you crank the engine on start up. Which would provide a false reading because it is zeroing itself while seeing vacuum. If it recalibrates during cranking that is probably your problem.
I pulled power off the cruise control circuit. It stays hot even while cranking and there obviously is no cruise control in an Evo.
If it's mechanical I don't know what to tell you.

I am not sure. I will check it out when I go to the gym in a few. I didnt have this problem til I relocated the gauges. They had to make everything with this car a pain in the a**. But I still love it anyway.
