Powerflex motormount install w/o press
Ok so call me stupid, but for each SIDE mount, how do you lign up the mounts in the bracket, meaning where does the cut/slice go? I think I got it on the passenger side, but I'm curious about my 6-speed side mount. I've been putting off my install because I'm waiting for my Race Ramps to show up!

This was helpful, but I ended up drilling a hole through the rubber and then working a hacksaw blade in there. Put the mount in a vise and cut the inner ring. You have to be careful with the sawing, but it was easy to tap out the ring afterward. Finished up with a file and then some sand paper. Also, I had trouble sliding this back up under the car due to the new mount being a tad wider than the old. I sprayed a little Armor All on it and was able to work it in. I sure haven't noticed any improvement in shifting, and I have a new rattle under my dash somewhere for my trouble, lol.
thread back from dead ... need some help: I've had the front center mount for some time, like it a lot. Today I installed the passenger side top mount. I bought it from lancershop and on the site it says the part is identical to the lower front center mount, but now that it's in the car it doesn't look right? I had to trim the edge of one side of the bushing to make it fit in the mount, and it's too narrow to completely fill the mounting space, but too fat to fit the too rubber "washers" back in that the stock one uses. Anybody else run into this? On the box it says "PFF44-106 Front Lower Front Engine Mount". Did they send me the wrong part?
Its the incorrect mount. If you purchased Powerflex products from us, the company who brought Powerflex to the Evo market, you would have received the correct part. Experienced installers of the products are always the best bet to insure you receive the right parts.
We are a real shop that installs about 5-6 sets per month on customer cars.
Now you have to buy a new mount and you have hacked up a perfectly good front lower mount that fits perfectly where it was designed to go.
TTP-Engineering stocks Powerflex products for the Evo and we ship the correct part the day they are ordered.

I got my front center mount from you about a year back, but I was getting other stuff at lancershop, so I figured I get it all in the same place .... live and learn. Do you have a side mounts in stock, and a part number for it (so I can make sure this time)? Thanks!
Thanks! Actually that is what I ordered, they just shipped the wrong one. Do you have any in stock? I looked on the TTP online store but didn't see any. I'm stranded until I get the right one, since I destroyed my stock mount to take it out ... I doubt I'll get an exchange since I sliced up the one I had to make it fit, so I might as well just buy another if you can get it for me?

Either way, next time I will certainly go straight to the source (TTP) instead - thanks very much for your help TTP!
Well ... after some more BS with lost/found/delayed shipping courtesy of lancershop (don't ask ...) I finally got the right parts today and installed the side one. Instant improvement in vibrations, car is very smooth even with cams. Still gotta do the rear one. What's the easier way to do it, from above or below?
When doing the tranny side mount, I had the tranny lowered enough the rear one looked easy to get to. But I never actually attempted it..
I heard when doing the rear you get a lot more vibration that's what she said. So I don't think I plan to add one, although, even with all three mounts I still have some motor slop.
