I'm thinking of placing transparent red vinyl to make my tail lights look like the JDM VII Tails. My question is, if I feel like getting the old look back will the adhesive remove easily and will it make the original clear glass change to a wierd color? Let me know, PM's welcomed.

The adhesive will not be the problem...the cleaning solutions you will need to use to get it off so that it's acceptable will be. I can promise you that you will cloud the plastic of the rear tails with any adhesive removers. Once vinyl is on plastic for a while, it is VERY difficult to remove.

I did this with no issues whatsoever. Had vinyl overlays on for a few months, then got tired of them and went back to stock. I didn't need any adhesive remover - just peeled them off and used a little goo-be-gone for the residue.

I'm digging the oem look - not going back. There's not enough love for VIII taillights!
