Nice idea if I was you I would cage mount your alpine deck to the plastic hvac piece it looks so much better and it doesnt look like there is a hole in your dash

Since it was my first time it took MANY hours - An hour or two at the hardware store simply thinking/searching for components to secure the V1 unit in the back. It was also very intimidating removing pieces from the front dash so that went very slowly.

Not that I have experience I could do the entire project in maybe 5-6 hours. Well worth it though in the end!

Thanks for the idea. I'm still deciding on what i'm going to do about the gap with the head unit. The guy at the audio shop suggested that I move the head unit out farther so I could use the Alpine bracket. But that would mean the head unit would stick out maybe an inch or more Not so fond of that concept.

Why would anyone want to do this? Take a curve and move the hat, so much for radar. Put it on your dash and don't drive like an idiot.

Why would anyone want to put a turbo on a car? Because they can and because it works.

Damn clean job. Finally a setup that doesn't attract attention and is still fully functional. Fantastic.
