Very clean install. As for the laser warning, if someone gets shot with laser ahead of you it still wanrs you of laser up ahead. Having owned several v1's i will never drive without one now, but even v1 themself says to mount as high as possible. Even though the range is good where its at, it would be far better if you had it up higher. Great install though.

I see you didn't need to use the "set" button with the audio adapter. I don't want the extra electronics in my car, so I did it and used the "set" to mute and change modes. Thaks for the "How To". Very simple. It took about an hour in all and looks great. I didn't mind destroying my clock, so I just went out and did it.

Here you can see my V1 tucked behind the mirror:

My friend can't find a place to do this in his FRC, so he's pretty jealous.

I like th idea of the remote display inside the clock. Especially using the "set" button as the "mute" buttom. But I think the v1 is better behind the mirror like Investigator did, I dotn like the base ball hat ideI like the idea of the remote display inside the clock. Especially using the "set" button as the "mute" button. But I think the v1 is better behind the mirror like Instigator did, I don’t like the baseball hat idea. But nice going with the hidden display and sound unit.a.

How did you get the concealed display wire to not interfere with the air conditioning vent?

I bent the phone cord wire back, and slid it through a groove that I created with the dremmel tool. Then I used a dab of super glue to hold it in place. You can see this in the picture below pretty well.
